the detox.

tomorrow i meet with my nutritionist and start my detox. again. i thought i'd post this so that a: maybe it will help me if i take it public. b: would love some detox buddies.

i did this a couple of months ago and lost about 8 lbs pretty fast but had a hard time sticking with it when things got super busy. so. here i am again. starting over. i am determined to lose these last lbs from my last pregnancy. i wanted to have lost the baby weight in 3 months but here we are double that time and still not there. so here's the detox. its not a normal detox. it's a 3-14 day detox/prep. the prep is supposed to chemically adjust your body into a high metabolic burn as well as detox the body of toxins and excess water storage. here we go.

all the meat you can eat. excluding pork. pork is not good for you.
{beef,chicken, fish, lamb, liver, tuna (water packed), turkey, veal}

all the raw green salad vegetables you can eat. excluding peas.

two oranges per day - one as the AM Snack and one as the afternoon snack

2 eggs (cooked however you want)

no peas, bread, pasta, milk, cheese, or condiments. no fruit or fruit juices except the 2 oranges.

six 8 oz. glasses of water per day. unlimited amounts of fresh hot lemon water or herbal tea. (these drinks act as a natural diuretic to relieve the full or bloated feeling) no carbonation. what? no diet coke? substitute soda with caffeinated green tea.

so I'll be doing this for hopefully at least 7 days maybe more along with exercise. After the detox then comes the diet. it's not as strict. i'll post the diet as soon as I complete the detox. seriously.. i need some major support here.

Holy Crap, you are motivated! Well, if it makes you feel better I thought I would have lost the baby weight by now and Macey is almost a year and I still have 7 lbs to go. By the way, you look awesome in every picture I see of you, so I don't think you need to diet either...

Woo! Woo! I think that I might just try this detox with you. It is pretty pathetic that I live off of Diet Coke and candy. I would love to do a detox and flush some of the junk out of my body. How I will live without diet coke, I will never know. Good luck to you and good luck to me.

Seems pretty reasonable. Ever heard of Body for Life, that is how Eric and I try to eat (most of the time, except when traveling) it 6 small meal per days, lots of veggies, whole grains, and lean meat and fish. I love the energy eating well gives me.
